So I recently went through some of my old OLD drawings, like 15-19 years old and I feel old AF now lol but I selected some to revamp. Let me give you a peak in to what I've been doing!

So the first one I did was Elize. Here is the original drawing I did when I would have been like 13 or 14 on the left and the pixel revamp on the right;

The one I'm currently working on is Jonah, the original drawing would have been maybe a year or two after Elize's. Again, original on the left and revamp WIP on the right;

I'll keep y'all updated, I have more selected that I want to revamp!

Absolutely! I actually have a bunch of tutorials here rhlpixels.deviantart.com/galle…

For some general pointers; start small. You can already draw so that will help! Since the piece will be small you'll want to focus on shapes and readability and you will want your color palette to be limited and full of contrast. Also, work on a gray canvas! White is hard on the eyes and any other color will effect how the colors of your sprite and/or pixel art look. Gray or brown are nice and neutral so they're both easy on the eyes and won't effect how your palette is perceived. IDK why I prefer gray but brown should work fine too XD This is so important with pixel art because A. It's so small you'll be zoomed in and focusing a LOT so it can get really hard on the eyes if there is a bright white or any bright background B. Again, because it is so small, every single pixel and every single color matters. Be very mindful and thoughtful of both where you place your pixels and colors as well as how they effect the pixels and colors around them.

Let me know if there's any uestions you'd like to have answered or if you would like feedback on a WIP or piece!

lol there certainly is a lot to learn. And that's another thing, just tackle one thing at a time. Don't try to nail every single thing all at once, you'll lose your mind lol I recommend using a premade palette to start. Building a palette can be tough and trying to build a palette and sprite a piece at the same time is even more difficult. There is a whole bunch of beautiful palettes here pixeljoint.com/forum/forum_pos…

And no problem! I love pixels way too much XD
